Super Dad Cake

My niece Katie and I just got done making her Dad his Father's Day Cake and I think it came out as AWESOME as he is....Happy Father's Day Joe!!

My first fondant cake.....

My twin boys are graduating from Kindergarten tomorrow June 15th and I don't really have a lot of money to give them a HUGE PARTY.  So I took the one item I could splurge on and went crazy.  I made them a cake and for the first time EVER I used fondant to cover it.  I have wanted to work with it before but was never brave enough until now.  I did the cake in the school colors.

St. Joe's Prep Cake

So a friend from the boys school needed a cake for her younger brother who graduated from 8th Grade and is going to attend St. Joe's Prep in the fall.  She wanted a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and and burgundy trim.  This is what I came up with for her.....
