Ok to catch you guys up on what I have worked on since Sept…here goes.
February I took the 4th and final Wilton Cake Decorating Class. It was called Advanced Gumpaste Flowers. This was what I learned how to do in class….
I also did a a few calla lilies and a tiger lily
Valentine’s Day I did s heart shaped cupcake pull apart cake
Here is the Simpson’s Valentine’s cupcake pull apart cake I did
I did a tennis racket cupcake pull apart cake
What was suppose to be a #4 cake turned out a bit wrong (MY FIRST REAL BLUNDER) but still pretty and tasty, which IMHO is all that matters
I did a few spring blossom cupcakes for the kids at school
I tried my hand at an edible centerpiece for Easter this year for my table. Everything but the flowers was edible.
Here are the Easter Bunny Cupcakes I made for the kids in school

Craft idea…Coffee Filter Roses
Hey there everyone, been a month of Sunday’s since I posted anything…please forgive me but I have been dealing with a bunch of stuff since my last post.
First my son’s celebrated their 7th in September and then almost immediately after that my husband’s health took a turn for the worse and he went down hill quite rapidly and on November 9th at 8:20am he lost his battle with renal cell cancer. Not much in the way of cakes for me since that time. I did manage to do a few which I will post pics of a little later but today I wanted to share a really cool and easy craft idea I found on youtube. It’s a tutorial on how to make roses out of coffee filters and even though it looks very complicated once you get the hang of it…they get easier and easier to make. Breaking it down it’s folding, cutting and hot gluing to make the flowers. So let me start by posting the link to the tutorial I found online and I can not take credit for this one. I will give a shout out to the wonderful woman (I think her name is Emmy) who took the time to make the tutorial for us to allow us to make these beautiful roses….THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR SHARING!!!!!

YOU MAY HAVE TO COPY AND PASTE THIS ADDRESS IN YOUR BROWSER because I can’t figure out how to add a link…my apologies.
Now I made the roses today and it took about 2 hours for my first bouquet. The first rose took up most of the time for me because I was following the tutorial and I kept stopping and starting as I went along. Here is the first rose I did….
Once I got the hang of it…it got easier and easier for me and if I can do these, trust me…you can too!! This is my finished product….
